Do your reading tastes range from Saga and Hellboy to The Sixth Gun, Art Schooled or This One Summer?
Do you like what Jason Aaron and Jeff Lemire do both in and outside of superheroes or have a strong affinity for the works of breakout talent like Michael DeForge, Gareth Brookes and Tillie Walden?
Do you select your comics based on the quality of its contents no matter which country they come from?
Do you like to discuss both the past, present and future of the medium and what makes it a great art form?
If the answer to any of these questions is yes and if you’ve always wanted to become a comics journalist or already have ample experience covering comics? Then the Broken Frontier family will gladly welcome you aboard.
Passion for comics is (y)our driving force
We are a bunch of creative, critical, and borderline intellectual rascals from all over the world with a deeply rooted love for all things comics. It’s that similar passion that drives us and which makes writing for BF a great experience. As Frontiersmen and women, we are united by a single mission: we care about strong, honest coverage and want to fill readers in on what’s next in comics. If you do too, then we look forward to hearing from you!
Please note that there is no financial compensation involved for any staff position. From the top down, all BF staff members contribute voluntarily (though we can’t rule out the occasional outburst of telepathic mind control).
How to apply
You can apply for a spot on our staff by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org. Make sure to include a full overview of your current reading list and one or more samples of your work. A resume is welcome but not required.
Since with great power comes great responsibility, please start off your application letter by answering the question how you intend to help make Broken Frontier a better destination for quality comics coverage. We’ll get back to you shortly afterwards.
